Geocache Description:

Your looking for a small black plastic container with a log only. You do not need to cross over the fence but you will need to reach over.

I can only assume this is the site of the an ancient oil tank farm. If you look at the satellite map of this area it is very clear there were quite a few tanks here. This cache is located at one of those tank sites. The tanks are long gone but the berms that held them are still here. I do not know any of the history of the site but because of the potential history of what was here it meets my criteria of a worthy cache location. I wonder if the location has any connection to the ghost town of Lorena that sat on the railroad bed that used to be located a mile and a half south east of here. I hope to find out more about this site and will post it here in the future if possible.
