I had been through this area before to do Tlepinski's Redhouse
Mountain cache (GC220W6). I came back today with the Ocotillo
Hikers, who showed me this cool little side canyon. I decided
to hide a cache here, and while searching for a spot to hide the
cache, found an interesting old mine. Be careful if you go into the
mine, I think I saw bird droppings in there!
See GC220W6 for instructions on how to get to parking. Easy hike up
to the side canyon, where some scrambling will be required.
Please re-hide the cache well - this area gets lots of
visitors.
