The inspiration for this cache comes from my annual hunting season. As a hunter, your success in preparation will usually parallel your success in taking your game or prey. There are a myriad of choices available, but undoubtedly it is a personal preference in this worldwide sport.
Camouflage needs little definition and names like Realtree, Mossy Oak or many others describe a variety of clothing patterns worn to cover up the real you. Another example and the focus of this cache is camo scent. Sprays, soaps and deodorants take their place on stores shelves with other products designed to mask or hide the powerful human scent. The one I use is Hunter Specialties Earth Scent Wafers. They are safety-pinned to my hat and have worked effectively for me over the years. The odor is still strong enough to detect as you sign the log sheet. There is a pull off area to park then bike/hike. During the hunting season, a suitable 4WD will give the cacher closer access. Stay ALERT for summer rattlesnakes, hunters in the fall/winter and even a stray bear. BYOP! Enjoy the hunt and return the cache exactly how you found it because the Marines may be nearby!!!!!
