Geocache Description:

A Puzzle and a short hike to a nice view point.

The cache is not exactly at the coordinates posted above

The cache is in the general vincinity but for the exact coordinates, you will have to resolve the following puzzle:

As I recently reached 1000 caches, I thought it would be fun to create a puzzle with some of my most memorable finds so far.

When you find the cache, I request that you also share in your log one of your most memorable geocaching moments.

So here are some of the most memorable of my first 1000 cache finds:

GC4EEF Guadalupe Peak
Breath taking hike to highest point in Texas. The views are amazing. Found with Indigo Parrish, Rock Lizzard and tlien11. Recorded a small video of the hike.
GCZ5EN Advancing Shorelines – Torrey Pines
Beautiful walk on the beach as a family to get this Earthcache, the colors of the cliffs were amazing. Kids had fun running, playing in the sand...
GC1G269 7th Annual Texas Challenge
Participated in the team challenge with Indigo Parrish. We finished second after spending the whole morning running, hiking and climbing at Enchanted Rock. Afterwards we hiked the whole back loop of the park to grab more caches. Very fun day!
GCRT93 Airman's Cave
My only 5/5 geocache. Another adventure with Indigo Parrish. Going though the birth canal was one of the most psychologically challenging tasks ever for me. I was very glad to make it to the other side. Another thing that I would never have done without geocaching.
GC1CB4 Bells Run Nature Preserve
An example of what geocaching is about: a nice hike in an unknown and beautiful preserve. Found with kids and cousins. They had a lot of fun playing in the streams building a dam with rocks
GC17MX1 Bridges & Arches of Central Park
A very cool challenge in Central Park where you have to find 32 bridges and arches to get clues for the final coordinates. I had never seen Central Park so thouroughly. It was fantastic. Buckandi and I stormed it in mostly one morning run/walk. It was a great experience! And every finder gets a geocoin...
GCKB03 Meeting Mao on The Great Wall
Being on the Great Wall of China is very memorable in itself. But this cache lead me to the side that is less visited and thanks to it, I was able to experience the wall without the masses on the other side. It was an amazing place.
GC14QY6 Crossroads of the World
A cache hidden *right in the middle* of the busiest square in the world with a "Found it" sign for a picture. This was very very cool.
GC1830V Dolmen de la pierre au loup
How cool is it to find a neolithic portal tomb (3000 BC) forgotten in the middle of the woods? The whole family enjoyed this one.
GCD86E Panther Canyon Abode
Amazing hike in Big Bend Ranch State Park. The views were also amazing but it was a very demanding hike that affected some of the hikers in our group. We had at some point to make decision to continue or hunker down for the night... I had never been in this situation before. But we made it in the end. This was Indigo Parrish final cache for the Texas County Challenge. Buckandi and DE Cryptoman were also part of the hiking group.
GCVXMX I KNOW WHERE THAT PLACE IS!
Loved the mystery aspect of finding where the pictures where. Led me to visit some new spots in Austin.
GC20RTK (Almost) Peak of The Peak
Amazing experience in Hong Kong at Victoria Peak. I climbed it as the sun was setting. It was absolutely beautiful. But by the time I was on top, it was pitch black. I had no flash light. I used my cell phone as a light on the way down...
GC1CQ78 Nine Princes in Amber
Amazing Series in some of my favorite greenbelts. It was especially memorable as it was a race for FTF which I was in the end. I loved the final.
GCJFXT F5 - The Dead Man's Walking ...
I had always been interested by the Jarrell tornado. This cache was very well done. When climbing down in the tornado shelter at the final, I slipped and the heavy door close on my arm, breaking my watch and bruising my wrist. I felt it for many months afterwards
GCZ1KY Roman Nights
My favorite night cache. Found it with Buckandi. I loved the terrain and the length of the hike. Very cool adventure.
GC1BEZH Space Cadet Bonus: Range Box
As a kid I used to model rockets. So this series was right up my alley. I was very pleased to be FTF. Very nice puzzles and great containers. One of my favorite series.
GCE62A Jogmuir's Quest
Cache #200 for me. It took me several trip to get it. I found the final container with my mother who was visiting from France.
GC11EKM 45 GALLON CACHE
Went after this one by chance. I was staying at a nearby hotel and it was one of the caches within running distance. But what an amazing surprise: The biggest container had ever found right next to a breath taking view of the Torrey Pines area and the Pacific ocean. Another of those "I love geocaching moments".
GCHPDT Line Of Sight
I have never seen another cache like this one. The last stage is just amazing. So cool!
GC1T0PV Sand dunes of Derrynane
Another of the off-the-main-path area that I would never have seen otherwise. Beautiful beach. Kids enjoyed the break while visiting the ring of Kerry.
GC3710 The Grassy Knoll
The most eerie feeling when you get some place for the first time but yet you feel you know it so well... I watched the Zapruder film to many times before I guess...
GC12HH0 BridgeToTerabithia
Very cool spot and very nice twist to have to brave vertigo to get the container. Found with Buckandi
GC1FH0G Middle Earth: Dark Lord Sauron
My best geocaching day ever was finding this series in one day with Buckandi. Enjoyed the build-up with the many layers of puzzles. What a fantastic series..
GC2B034 Necropolis of Britannia Manor III
Cache #1000 for me. Found with the whole family. Great treasure hunt throughout Austin and an over the top final.
GC1H08E Angels and Demons
Very cool quest in Rome. Had to visit the location of the 4 murders in the novel from Dan Brown's, get clues to find the final. It was a lot of fun.
GCVEZ3 Chaudron
One of my favorite experience geocaching just with my wife. The Etretat cliffs are amazingly beautiful and that evening the weather was stormy giving an eerie feeling. It was a multicache and I could not get to one of the stages because of the tide but with a little bit of thinking, we made an educated guess and found the final. This was one of the most rewarding geocaching experiences ever.
