A quick and fairly easy offset cache in a quiet suburban park. Please BYO pen and no swaps or trackables please (just in case)
The starting location will bring to a slightly weathered sign detailing this quiet park's name. Concentrating only on the letters in *white print* find the following: E = number of Es N = number of Ns R = number of Rs Use these numbers to solve the two "triplets" below: S37°49.(N+R)(E+R)(2xR) E145°04.(N-1)(4xN)(2xE-1) The cache is located inside the park only a short stroll away. This is a new location not far from the old one which was muggled too many times. The calculation for the GZ coordinates and difficulty/terrain have been updated accordingly. NB: The cache container *cannot* be detached from the hide - please be careful it stays attached. Extract it gently from the hide. Please check that the container lid closes tightly to prevent the log falling out. Replace carefully and replace the camouflage. You'll understand when you find it! Everything you need will be in plain sight. Please use stealth so this new hide doesn't become another muggling statistic... There is a park bench not far from the cache that's perfect for logging your find if you like, or for just spending a moment enjoying the park. It is dedicated to Amanda Emily Murcell (1984-2003) - you might like to take a moment to read the memorial plaque. I believe dogs are allowed in the park on leash - but check the signs to be sure. Watch out for permit parking zones that are likely to be in this area - park only where and where allowed (the cache itself should not take very long to complete however). There is a train station (Riversdale) close by, trams a short walk away (Riversdale Road) and probably buses too so access via public transport is very good. The Outer Circle Rail Trail path passes nearby for cyclists. Traffic in the nearby road can be heavy during school drop-off/pick-up and peak commuting times - best avoided! Please beware of muggles who may be in or around the park (including up the trees!) and rehide the cache well in its special place, and replace the camouflage. Thanks and enjoy. Congratulations to iamapom and Landau351 for their joint FTF (on v.1) :-)
