Will you pedal, walk or ride?
The Coast to Vines rail trail is a great day or weekend destination on the Fleurieu Peninsula. From the magnificent cliffs of Hallett Cove to the natural beauty of the Onkaparinga River Recreation Park, the trail offers scenic coast to hinterland views. Take in spectacular vineyard vistas and changing landscapes as you make your way through the renowned McLaren Vale wine district. With historic towns such as Old Reynella and Willunga there are plenty of good places to stay and eat. The rail trail follows the alignment of a disused railway line. It has been 40 years since steam trains meandered along this historic rail corridor.
The cache is placed at one end of the bridge over Pedler Creek. The cache location is almost equidistant from Pedler Road and Victor Harbour Road. About 1.6km from either direction. Bike riding is permitted. Walking is permitted. Horse riding is permitted.
Note that horse riding is only permitted on the sector of the rail trail controlled by City of Onkaparinga (basically south of Main South Rd).
