Come and try a combination of Geocaching, Orienteering and Amateur Radio Direction Finding (ARDF).
4-7pm on Australia Day 26/1/2011 at Wadmore Park ATHELSTONE.

A course of 5 or 6 hidden radio transmitters mark the way-points which must be found using radio direction finding equipment (RDF). Final Cache co-ordinates are at the last way-point. Don't forget to bring your GPS !
We will have RDF equipment to loan to you and will show you how to operate it.
ARDF events are usually timed events but this one is for fun.
I am interested in setting up a permanent Radio Geocache but I'll will see what teams think of this type cache at this event.
Come and meet some of the Adelaide Amateur Radio, Orienteering and Geocaching personalities.
If anyone wants to bring their own ARDF RDF equipment then please note that we are using the 2m (145MHz) band.
