These are: The Sawmill (GC2KWJJ), The Surveyor (GC15MDH) and The Cemetery (GC2M6XF). Use these clues to obtain coordinates for Part 4: The Homestead (GC2M71A).
Background:
In the summer of 1864, during the American Civil War, Union forces under the command of General William Tecumseh Sherman were closing in on the southern city of Atlanta Georgia. The city was defended by Confederate forces commanded by General John Bell Hood.
Shortly before the city fell to Sherman's forces on the 2nd of September, a secret plan was formed by confederate officers to remove a fortune in currency from the treasury building in Atlanta and secure it in a safe place until such time as the tides of battle would turn again in favor of the South.
This treasure remains hidden but you may discover clues, left long ago, which will reveal its exact location - on the site of the old Proctor homestead (Lake Proctor Wilderness Area).
Collect the following clues to solve this mystery:
The Sawmill (GC2KWJJ)
1st question - divided by 2 gives M
2nd question - divided by 5 gives N
You may need to round down to nearest whole number
The Surveyor (GC15MDH)
Large number is P
Small number is Q
The Cemetery (GC2M6XF)
1st question 18RS
2nd question 18TU
3rd question 18VW
A = U+W
B = Q-W
C = N+S-1
D = P+3
E = M
F = R+Q-1
G = V
And the final coordinates are:
N 28° 4A.BCD W 081° 05.EFG

Truth and Fiction:
Most of the historical and family history details in this story are true. Jasper and Georgia Nicholson were my great-great-grandparents. However the "old clues" and the tale of missing confederate treasure are purely fiction. The real treasure is the fun of the search and the people you may meet along the way.
