Geocache Description:

The forth in the "Curse of the FTF (Wellington)" series of caches.

The rules are really simple ...

Guidelines for this series.

1. FTF'er should place the next cache in the series (in this case, Curse of the FTF (Wellington) #5 .... ) within 1 month. Please note only the FTF'er should place the next cache and not every time someone finds the cache.

2. You can only be a FTF for this series once, and no joint FTF’s accepted on these caches. This spreads the FTF love around, and gives others a chance to play along. (This is at least until everyone has had a go at FTF who wants to)

3. Cache can be any size or type of cache (Puzzle, Multi, etc.), but I do ask that you set it within the Greater Wellington Area (Wellington, Hutt Valley, Wainuiomata, and Kapiti Coast up to Waikanae), and if it is a puzzle then it cannot be too hard, as it should be easy enough for everyone to find.

4. You must include this set of guidelines in your listing for the series. I will be happy to answer any questions concerning the guidelines or about the placing of caches to those who have not placed a cache before.

There is no requirement besides the standard signing of the cache log to prevent you from logging this cache when found. Everyone should log their find, and hopefully the FTF person will play along and place another cache, but it is in no way a requirement for logging your find. But if you don't intend to carry on the series please do not FTF and leave it for someone else.

Getting to the Cache:

The cache is placed on the beautiful Butterfly Creek walk in Eastbourne. Best way to reach it is to park in Kowhai Street and walk to the top of the road, where some steps will take you to an information board at the start of the trail. After a stiff 5 to 10 minute walk you will reach a recently upgraded section of the track, where you will see fine views across the harbour.

You are looking for a 400ml clipit, containing a log book and a few swaps. Please re-hide the cache carefully, making sure it isn’t peeking out, as this is a surprisingly busy track at the weekends.

Why not bring a picnic and do the other caches in the area?

Remember. No joint FTF’s accepted on these caches!!
