Geocache Description:

The waypoint is 'Stage 1' of a multi-cache. This 'Stage 1' is marked by a coin (please do not remove).

From this waypoint, locate a regular cache at 'Stage 2':
'Stage 2' cache located in direct line with the lighthouse at Bull Point.
Walk towards the lighthouse BUT CROSS NO FENCES (no need and dangerous). There is a waypoint and clues in the log-book to locate the last, 'Final stage', bonus nano-cache.

This area is part of the Ulster Way and Giant's Causeway Coastal Route and this part of the path looks west towards Bengore Head, north towards the Isles of Islay and Jura and east towards Rathlin Island and the Mull of Kintyre.

The grassy plateau has evidence of earlier landuse with traditonal 'Lazy Beds' visible as corrogations in the grass over which the path passes. These would have been used for crops such as potatoes.

In May and June the area has a couple of orchid species and spring squill, thrift and sea campion on rocky edges. Watch out for peregrin falcons, buzzards and ravens. Fulmar nest on the cliffs and gannets fish just offshore.

It is called Cat's Paradise because our cats, Lupin and Fig, sometimes followed us for scrambles on the rocks.

There are a number of lighthouses visible at night from the plateau. None are visible on a misty day. If you are not local to the area, you may need to find the lighthouse at Bull Point on OSNI Discoverer Series sheet no.5, 1:50,000. It is line of sight from the waypoint - or a compass bearing on a misty day!

Good luck.

PS. We thank the National Trust for permission to locate these caches. Please cross no fences and be aware of sheep near the path.
