Geocache Description:

FTF *** G.O. CASH ***

The river park is Kent’s largest millennium scheme and also one of a lasting legacy of projects, funded in part by the National Lottery to celebrate the new Millennium.

The river park runs along the banks of the River Medway from Teston Bridge Country Park to Allington. It offers 10km of easily accessible paths linked by three nationally acclaimed pedestrian bridges.

The river park route features a rose garden and a roofed amphitheatre. The creation of the park led to the planting of 1500 new trees in Maidstone.

This cache is a magnetic 35mm film canister forming part of a group of caches situated along Maidstone River Park. The cache is located along the footpath very close to a arch which forms part of Tovil Footbridge. Not in the most scenic location of the park route, this cache is placed to keep you on route.

Parking is available at either end of the route or within a short walking distance from each cache site if cache and dash is planned; please observe local notices regarding parking charges.
