This small geocache is located in the Grasseth Cemetery west of Longview. It is also one of 6 geocaches you will need to find the final location for the unknown cache Cowlitz Cemetery Challenge GC2M8KG
Ok, so I am pushing this a bit, as the cemetery is located slightly over the county line outside of Cowlitz County. But only just a small bit, and you have to drive though Cowlitz County to get here. And its my geocache so I can make the rules lol.
The area between Longview and the western county line is packed with 1800's era cemeteries from old settlers. Infact in my research I have found 10 of them, ranging from the first settlers of Stella when the town was once a thriving port community, to one made up of children who died in an epidemic. Most are off limits to the public.
The Grasseth Cemetery is one of the newer ones. Although small, it is taken care of a has alot of beautiful landscaping.
