Out for a walk along a very nice path by the estutary looking for caches when the Rhodzrunners came across a very nice picnic spot... Lo and behold I had a spare cache in the car and a few improvements later... well you know the rest.

I remember when I was a lad growing up in Auckland that Orewa was a weekend trip away or at least an overnightstay.. it was deemed madness to do a "day trip"

now it is a quick 30mins from the Bridge to one of the best swimming/surfing/parasailing/jet Skiing/paraboarding beaches in Auckland

The only danger to be had, now that State Highway one has moved on, is from the speeding Grannies and their mobility scooters ready to bowl you over from behind
