Time for a
cleanup! The Wisconsin
Geocaching Association (WGA) is proud to sponsor Appleton's 5th
Annual CITO Geocaching event! (What is CITO?) This regional
event will be held April 23rd at the Telulah Park
Pavilion in Appleton. We will be cleaning Telulah Park, Newberry
Trail from Telulah west, the North Island trail, and Jones park.
Your event host is -cheeto-. Supplies, food, drink, and prizes are
being provided by the Wisconsin Geocaching Association.
The CITO will begin at the park pavilion at 9:00am Saturday
morning. There is plenty of parking in the lot near the pavilion
and it is handicapped accessible. The Appleton Parks Department has
given us free use of the pavilion and access to the restrooms.
At 1:00pm, we will take a group picture and draw names for some
event door prizes. Prizes include several unactivated geocoins and
a pre-paid gas card. Must be present to win!
Schedule:
- 9:00 am - Gather for coffee and donuts at the
pavilion. Plan your morning, get some local caching advice,
etc.
- After that - CITO! Base camp will remain open
for water and supplies. Bottled water will be provided to take with
you on the trail.
- Noon - regroup at base camp for a group
picture, picnic lunch, swap stories, coins, bugs, whatever.
- 1:00 pm - Door prizes
- 2:00 pm - Dismissed
