We will have the facilities from 10 am until 5 pm. If playing poker, sign up stating you will be playing poker and report to facility at 10 am. Names will be randomly chosen as to which table you will be assigned. Cut off time for all players names to be drawn for which table they will be seated at will be 11:30 am. So if a player is not there by 11:30 am they will not play.
This will be a Poker Challenge Playoff. The game of the day will be "Texas Hold 'Em". To "buy in" each player must have 2 unactivated geocoins. For those who do not have any unactivated coins we know there are some cachers who will have extras who would be interested in selling them. I do not know how many extras there would be available however. The number of initial tables will be according to how many people we have sign up to play. We can handle enough players for three tables which could be up to eight people per table. So, therefore, we can have 24 players and will have three dealers --who know and understand the game well. The rules for all three tables will be the same. Once each table narrows down, then those will play against one another until we are finally down to one player who has played the best hands of Texas Hold 'Em on that particular day.
We will have a pot luck lunch/dinner going on at the same time, so even if you don't want to play you can come and watch and enjoy spending time with others as well. We ask that all who attend bring at least one item for the pot luck lunch/dinner to ensure that there is enough food to go around for all who participate. Let's also try and log what we will bring so that items don't get duplicated if possible.
We, Pilgrimsprogress, are footing the bill for the location so if some others as well could provide bowls, utinsels, drinks, etc., it would be greatly appreciated.
So let's put on our shades, hoods, and poker faces and play some mean hands of Texas Hold 'Em!!!
