Geocache Description:

This cache is in a beautiful location. It is meant for people who enjoy hiking and discovering new places. It's a moderate 2 mile hike one way. Be prepared Arizona is a land of extremes. Bring water. Best time to visit would be winter, fall and spring. Will be hot in the summer and it may be difficult to find after heavy snowfall. This is meant to be a hike but can be reached by jeep, quad or dirt bike( it would be a moderately technical jeep trail though). Enjoy the view.

The trail is really an old jeep trail (Forest Rd #27). For the Hike it is best to start from the Beeline Hwy. Parking area is located just off SR 87, between mile marker 288 & 289, north bound lanes only. As the beeline comes down the backside of Mt Ord it bottoms out at Slate Creek, a normally dry river bed. There is an area to park here. The route is obvious from here. follow the old road for about 2 miles cache is just off the road. Cache in Trash out pin for FTF.
