Looking for a spot to place the third in the series designed to encourage people to take the back way we stopped in at Mumbil on the day of their annual Blackwattle Chuckakubra Fair.
Once a thriving little town that housed many of the 1000-strong workforce building Burrendong Dam it is now a shadow of it's former self.
My Dad pointed out the Pub which is still in business but the surrounding shops and railway station are gone. The little church next to where we lived has been re-built & we were able to find a hidey hole for the cache not far from where our house stood more than 50 years ago.
A trip down memory lane for my Dad but maybe an interesting journey of discovery for geocachers.
The little box has a FTF banner for the winner, some little swaps & a 2011 diary to serve as a logbook. Please write your entry on the day you find it.
Take the road less travelled, smell the roses & grab the caches along the way.
