The famous “Four Corners” in the desert of the southwestern US marks the only point at which the boundaries of four US states meet. N 36° 59' 56.32, W 109° 2' 42.62
SC has at least four locations at which four counties intersect. Two of these are in the Low Country, one is in the Pee Dee, and the other is near the site of this Geocache (hence the name).
This cache resides about 1 mile south of the geographical point at which Abbeville, Anderson, Greenville and Laurens counties meet. The cache location is actually on an island in the Saluda River. No boat is required, however, as the Taylor Memorial Bridge crosses Rutledge Shoals here. Easy parking in Laurens County.
Just for fun: which SC county is the only one to have two “Four Corners” sites?
FTF honors go to....spinnersdj! Congrats!
