Geocache Description:

The cache is not at the posted coordinates.

Feb 2012 Update : Final had to be moved. You'll have to solve for the new coordinates.

For the past 5 years I have been fortunate to spend the winter months in the area. Because of the number of geocaches available here, I have become very familiar with Jupiter.

After completing Uniquely Jupiter (GC2KBM7), an excellent multi that took me to many of the attractions and sights of Jupiter, I decided to place this puzzle cache that also provides information about Jupiter.

The following is a "modified" version of the Wikipedia information for Jupiter.

=======================================================================

Jupiter is a town located in Palm Beach County, Flor#da. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total po#ulation of 39,328. As of 2006, the population had grown to 50,028, according to the University of Florida, Bu#eau of Economic and Business Research. #upiter is well known for its beauty and beaches. It is often refe#red to as a "beach town" and has become a popular vacation spot. Many celebrities own homes in Jup#ter, Florida.

HISTORY

The area where the town now sits was originally named for the Hobe Indian t#ibe which lived at the mouth of the Loxaha#chee River, and whose name is also preserved in the name of nearby Hobe Sound. A ma#maker misunderstood the #panish spelling 'Jobe' of the Indian name 'Hobe' and recorded it as 'Jove'. Subsequent mapmakers further misunderstood this to be the Latin translation of the god Jupiter, and they anglicized the name from #ove to 'Jupiter.' The Roman god Jupiter (or Z#us in the Greek mythology) is the chief Roman god, husband of Juno, and god of light, of the sky and weather, and of the state and its welfare and its laws. It inspired a neighboring village to name itself, "#uno Beach".

LANDMARKS

The most notable landmark is the Jupiter Inl#t Ligh#house, completed in 1860. Made of br#ck, it was painted #ed in 1910 due to discoloration caused by humidity. Hurricane Jeanne in 2004 sandblasted the paint from the upper portion of the tower, and the tower was repainted using a #otass#um silicate mineral coating. The lighthouse is often used as the #ymbol for Jupiter.

I have replaced several letters of the original text with the number symbol "#". Your task is to find these missing letters to determine the final co-ordinates for the cache.

The cache is at: N 26º 5&.&&& and W 080º 0&.&&&.

"Just" determine the correct values for the ampersands. Use of this symbol throughout does not imply that the numbers are all the same.

You can check your answers for this puzzle on Geochecker.com.

The cache is a micro, so BYOP and please be stealthy when searching for the cache.

After you solve the puzzle, please don't give the solution away; let others enjoy the frustration of working on it, and the joy of solving it themselves!!
