Geocache Description:

...in 1864 Juan Bautista Castro dedicated this plaza in honor of his father, Simeon Nepomuceno Castro...

Today this plaza is home to the Castro Plaza Child & Family Resource Center, the Castro Plaza Fountain, and the Andy Ausonio Library.

This library was opened on September 28, 2006, and serves as the Castroville Branch of the Monterey County Free Libraries. The town of Castroville has had a branch library for more than ninety years, but this is its first library-only building.

The cache is a magnetized matchstick with a log. Please bring your own pen.
