Fagerhøyåsen Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

cervisvenator: Hi

While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for the cache owner and block other cachers from placing a cache in the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can’t do so forever.

Nothing seems to happen with this cache listing, so it is now archived, so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. Also, if it hasn’t been done already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

If the owner wants it reopened, send me an e-mail and I’ll be happy to unarchive the cache listing if it still satisfies the requirement/guidelines.

(This reviewer note is in English so non-Norwegian cache owners, geocachers and cache reviewers can understand what it says.)

Thanks for your understanding,
Cervis Venator

Geocache Description:

Little known, green, elevated location at Lysaker/Stabekk, with a box large enough to hold several items and TBs.

English

This small hill is surrounded by Fagerhøyveien and it divides Fagerhøy Terrasse in two. We originally baptized it "Fagerhøyåsen", which translates "Fair"-"high"-"hill". Later we found out that the forest is called Brydeskogen, since it used to be the garden between two villas built by Severin Marinius Bryde (1851–1920), a local businessman. It is A nice, well hidden, green lounge in a residential area overlooking Lysaker and Fornebu. You can even see Holmenkollen in fall/winter/spring, when trees are not overgrown. There is a few tables with chairs to have a rest. Well suited for Cache-in-Trash-out!

The surrounding area is populated with residential houses, many of which are large and impressive.

Enter from parking at Lysaker School, by walking Fagerhøy Terrasse. Two alternative entry points marked as waypoints.

Please leave the box exactly where you found it and make sure it is not visible

Norsk

Egner seg godt for Cache-in-Trash-out
