The Fountains of Ewww... Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

yogpsfamily: This was my (yogpsfamily, aka everplaid) very first geocache! When we placed it originally, it was an ammo can. What I neglected to consider was that it was where kids played and was directly in the flood path during heavy rains. After it was muggled multiple times, it washed away in a heavy thunderstorm. I replaced it with a big peanut butter jar and moved it to its forever location. Thanks, all, who found it over the years.

Geocache Description:

You're looking for a peanut butter jar.

See those fountains? They're part of the Oldham Woods Water Treatment facility. A gravity-fed, aerated lagoon, Oldham Woods serves around 40 families and can handle up to 180,000 gallons of wastewater a day.
The cache is closer to the parking area than the treatment plant. Be prepared for mud after rain. Our GPS's say to follow Hickory Switch Road, but you should take a left when you see the sign for Dogwood Cross. Be careful parking at the end of Dogwood Cross - there's a good dip at the end of the road when it changes from asphalt to gravel. If your car is not good in mud, park on the asphalt if it's been raining recently.

Yea, pINK! We were so excited to see someone whose caches we love to visit be FTF of our very first cache!!!
