This is one of a pair of caches celebrating one of the most
prolific cachers of our time and one of our favorites.
Rather than another silver ammo can in the woods, we thought it
would be best to celebrate one of j3yoda's many milestones by
giving him the cherry on top of a perfect caching day. As much as
he loves running through the forests, day and night, we know that
no caching day is complete for j3yoda without visits to two
places.
In order to get the coordinates for this second location, you
must first visit S.L.A.P. -
Celebrating j3yoda's 8000th, about 2.5 miles away.
We are on the hunt for more historical information about Union
Ridge Cemetery. One website indicates that there is a book of
historical Chicago cemetery records that lists the Civil War
burials here, as well as the early settlers of Cook County. The
cemetery is located in the Union Ridge neighborhood of Norwood
Park, one of 77 well-defined Chicago communities. Union Ridge is
bounded by Bryn Mawr, Foster, Nagle, and Harlem Avenues.
Please show the utmost respect while searching for this
cache. We would hate if over zealous geocachers contributed in
any way to the further deterioration of nearby architectural
elements.
Of course, honorary pre-publication FTF goes to j3yoda.
Congratulations to early19713 for his FTF as well!
