FTF Prize is $ 5. Good Luck to All!

Electricity, in some form or another, powers just about everything that we use today, from cell phones to vacuum cleaners. The distribution, conversion, and utilization of electricity is determined by calculations of loads, currents, voltages, resistances, and a host of other properties of the system.

To arrive at the actual coordinates you must solve the equations below, then substitute the answers for the appropriate letter or letters.

A: a simple electrical circuit contains two resisters in series, R1 and R2, with a total resistance of 17 ohms. If R1 is 14 ohms, what is the value of R2?

B: a 12 Volt DC system has a load consuming 96 watts of power. How much current is flowing through the circuit, in amperes?

C: a 240 Volt, three phase, AC circuit with a Power Factor of 0.8 is supplying 27.06 amperes to its load. What amount of power is consumed by the load, in kilowatts? (Round to nearest whole number)

D: in an AC circuit with a real load of 20 kilowatts and a reactive load of 25 kilo volt-amperes, what is the power factor? (Enter numeral only. Disregard decimal point)

The property is in an active location. There are trucks coming and going so please park in the side parking lot. Be forewarned, you will be watched by people in the office! Feel free to stop in and say hello.

Tools are required to open the container. Bring your Swiss Army Knife!
