Geocache Description:

New Jersey. Think of the state and you think of all sorts of things. The beautiful mountains of the skylands. The long sandy stretches of the Jersey Shore. The urban cityscapes of Newark, New Brunswick, and Trenton. The infamous Exit jokes. (Yeah, we’re bored of those.) Marshes and forests that pockmark our state from end to end.

And diners.

We're the diner capital of America. We take a wonderfully American concept and make it New Jersey's very own. Our state thrives on coffee in big ceramic cups, giant buttery pancakes, and eggs made any style.

So the "Tour de Diner" is born; a tour of New Jersey's 21 counties by means of its diners. Each month, the New Jersey Geocaching community will visit a different diner in a different county, exploring the beauties of the state.

Tour de Diner #2: Belvidere Diner, Belvidere, NJ
(This diner fulfils the Warren County event)
19 February 2011, 7:45 AM to 9:00 AM

This diner has been around a long time and it is a favorite spot to stop along scenic Route 46 in White Township. Before I-80 existed Route 46 was the main road to PA from NJ.

I realize the time is very early and it is kinda far north, but Warren County doesn't have very large diners and the owners have asked, that to accommodate our numbers, if we can be mostly out of there by 9 it would allow for their regular business. I will try to have an area for trackables. I will also be giving away a few 'door prizes' at 8:30AM.
For your post event caching, the famous Manunka Chunk Tunnels are a very short drive west on Route 46. There are also many caches a short drive east of the diner in the Pequest Fish Hatchery and local wildlife management areas. Also Jenny Jump State Forest is within a 20 minute drive from here. So plan on coming for an early breakfast and doing some good caching after-wards.
