Geocache Description:

The Lime Kiln Trail is located outside of Granite Falls and is built over several miles of the old railroad system that ran from Everett to Monte Cristo. Along this trail you will see many artifacts from the time when the rail line was active and the remains of an old lime kiln that was used during those times as well. You will also walk along the beautiful Stillaguamish River, listening to it rush along as you meander through the lush green forest. I stopped to get some water out of my pack and paused to watch the river for a while and realized that this spot would be good for a cache. After signing the log be sure to take a moment to truly enjoy the beauty around you and listen to the sounds of nature. Although not in the cache, there is an FTF prize, I blame my blondeness for this one. FTF prize is a $5 Starbucks gift card, I will contact for delivery. My apologies for leaving it out of the cache!
