The Bannerman Trail runs 6.9 miles from Redgranite to Neshkoro.
You will be seeking a bison tube. Bring your own writing tool.
Please be sure to follow all park rules to include posted hours of operation.
This former railroad grade has been converted to a recreational trail that makes its way across several types of wilderness areas.
From prairies to woods, this trail varies from firm dirt to soft sand making the terrain variations something to pay attention to.
This is one of two newly placed caches on the Neshkoro end of the trail.
These were placed to bring you out to see a little bit of the nature in this area.
The trail is a pretty level grade but as mentioned, the footing is what moved this to a 2 terrain rating.
Use caution if hunting this cache while the snow is on the ground as the Bannerman is a snowmobile trail during these months.
Highly advised to be very aware of approaching machines and to step off the trail as they pass by.
Some slow down while passing, others do not.
Stay safe and keep your kids safe too.
