Visit
the historic mining town of Matakanui or Tinkers as it was
originally known.
This cache is another in the series of caches in which drawp has
traced some of the pathways of his heritiage. A paternal great
grandfather was a gold miner at Tinkers and some of his children
attended this school.

Matakanui School which has survived at least two moves by sledge
still retains its original bell. It was originally at Thompson
Creek, near Drybread before it was shifted to it present location.
The building is now used as a wool shed.
The cache is a pill container with log book and
pencil.
