THIS CACHE IS LOCATED AT THE TRUCK PARKING PULL OUT ON THE TOP OF EMIGRANT PASS ON I 80 WEST BOUND. CARS ARE WELCOME TOO.

THIS ROAD IS THE OLD EMIGRANT TRAIL TO CALIFORNIA AND IS CALLED THE HASTINGS CUTOFF. EMIGRANT HAD TO PULL THEIR WAGONS UP THIS HILL AND SEVERAL OTHERS ACROSS NEVADA ON THEIR WAY TO CALIFORNIA. SURE GLAD THAT WE HAVE CARS THE TRUCKS TO GET US THERE TODAY.
