Find us at the massive outdoor firepit, located on the southeast
side of the Campbell Science Center building. Leave your geo-canine
companion at home during this event, per BLM Land Manager request
(at this event only - dogs are welcome in the park - ON LEASH at
all times).
What you're going to find is good fellowship around the fire, a
few 'special event' geocache moments, a chance to win some
geo-bling, and incredible free access to learning about winter
recreation opportunities on the BLM Campbell Tract. Other user
groups have been invited to show off their specialties, so you'll
have a chance to see a variety of winter recreation activities as
you follow the event's special geo-trail. These winter skills
transfer to outdoor recreation everywhere, so don't miss this
chance to sharpen your outdoor winter abilities!
Open to geocachers of all ages and abilities, with activities
planned for persons of all skill levels. Children are especially
encouraged to attend! Dress warmly, as this is consistently the
coldest temperature spot in Anchorage, day in and day out!
