We will soon be relocating from this area.
Before we leave we wanted to hold an event to say:
“Thanks for the fun!!”
We have definitely enjoyed being a member of a very special geocaching group. So to say “THANKS” in our own “You Knee Ke” way we are holding an event. There will be a “You Knee Ke” way of doing some door prizes, and we hope a great time to visit with “old” geo friends, and make new ones.
Though we are leaving we would like to leave our local caches active for all to enjoy. As a way to “extend our presence” (and keep the caches active!) we are looking for volunteers to sign on to maintain or adopt any caches/cache series of ours that they would like. We would really appreciate their efforts, and think that the geocaching community would as well. Anyone willing to take on caches of ours will have their geocaching names added to the cache record, and they will be given the right to archive (or request that we archive) any ones that become troublesome. We will have printouts of our caches available for people who would like to take one or more on.
No matter if taken on or not, we will leave all our caches active for the time being. Just be aware that we will have to archive any that have issues if they don’t have a local “maintenance crew”.
Come on out on Sunday February 27th, 1 pm for a great “meet-up” time!
Be sure to bring your GPSr ………you may need it!
