Continuing on from the theme that Sc00t Started, to remember the Australian Defence Forces that have defended our great country.
Please park in the side street (Railway crescent)Plenty of parking.
Beside the main southern railway line. You may even see a train go by.
"Remembrance Driveway" is a living tribute to those who served in the Australian Defence Forces in World War 2 and subsequent wars.
Originally started in 1954. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth 2 and His Royal Highness Prince Phillip each planted a Plane tree in Macquarrie Place Sydney, and then Her Majesty planted a Snow Gum at the Australian War Memorial, Canberra. The beginning and the end of the Hume and Federal Highways between Sydney and Canberra.
There is a plaque in this park.
"In Memory of Petty Officer William Milne" of the HMAS Perth. And all Navel men who died in World War 2."
