A series of 14 caches and a bonus placed in and around the parish of Cooling.
The walk is approximately 8km and take about 3.5hrs.
The caches vary in size from micros to large.
To get the bonus, you must find all caches. The bonus clue is located at the back of the logbook. Only 10 caches have a bonus clue.
The walk takes you on footpaths and roads, although these are mostly quiet country lanes, there are a couple of points you will be walking on a 'B-road', although this is not very busy it is the main road from cliffe to cooling, therefore I would recommend that it is not done by young children.
It can be muddy in places and very cold especially if there is a northerly wind blowing. Make sure you wrap up warm.
Cooling is a village on the Hoo Peninsula, looking over the North Kent Marshes and across to the Thames Estuary.
The village is very small, but does boast a castle, church (although redundant) and a pub (which does sell food).
Walk Description:
Take road straight ahead. At corner go down byway (Well Penn Road).
