Jubilant Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Deceangi: Rather than keep this cache temporarily disabled (which should only be used for shortish periods) I'm archiving it. If/when the cache is ever replaced I'll gladly unarchive it assuming it still meets the guidelines.

Please avoid geolitter by removing any remaining traces of your cache or contact a local cacher to do so for you. If you are having difficulty doing so then please contact me via my profile and I will try to get someone to assist. This is particularly important if your cache appears to contain Travelbugs or Geocoins.

Geocache Description:

This is a magnetic nano hidden in the grounds of the University of Nottingham's Jubilee Campus. The University has a policy of positively encouraging non-students to enjoy its campus.

The cache is in a relatively busy area, and is overlooked by the Computer Science department, so your best stealth skills will be required - hence the difficulty rating. There are friendly cachers nearby though who may offer you a cup of tea if you are lucky. :-)

Jubilee Campus was opened in 1999 on the site of the former Raleigh bike factory, which featured in Alan Sillitoe's book Saturday Night and Sunday Morning. The campus name comes from the fact that 1998 was the University's Golden Jubilee. The campus has been constructed around an artifical lake and with many interesting buildings, including the "inverted volcano" of the Djanogly Learning Resource Centre (library) and the Sir Colin Campbell building. After finding the cache, why not take a short walk around?

There is good local bus access (including the number 31 which comes onto campus), and a few pay & display car parks around for visitors to use. See (visit link) for a map showing bus stops and car parks.
