Cache Series: The San Blas Half Marathon Route
Stop 8 – And the winner is
To complete the route the competitors arrive to the Francisco
(Pancho) Coimbre Sports Complex, and reaching the Pedro Miguel
Caratini Baseball Stadium.
In order to get the coordinates for this cache, you will need to
found the first seven caches of this series which are:
Stop 1 - Starting Line
Stop 2 - The Niagara Sector
Stop 3 - The Town
Stop 4 - Out of Town
Stop 5 - Ajoguillo Slope
Stop 6 - Int to Road #150
Stop 7 - Entry to Town
Now add the last three digits of the latitude on each cache of
this series (stop 1 to stop 7). The latitude of the Stop 1 -
Starting Line is N 18° 05.091, so the number that you need to add
is 091. Do the the same with the remaining six and then calculate
the average of the grand total (You will use that number to get the
latitude of this cache.
To obtain the longitude you will do exactly the same you just
did with the latitude. The longitude of the Stop 1 - Starting Line
is W 066° 20.091, so the number that you need to add is 091. Do the
same with the remaining six and then calculate the average of the
grand total. You will use that number to get the longitude of this
cache.
**Note: ex: average=441.56321 you will use 441.6

N 18° 04.(Average of the latitudes - X - 307.5)
W 066° 21.(Y + average of the longitudes + 151.7)
X = Total route distance in Kilometers
