The cache is located on Slape Lane (and not Snape ,as pointed out by the Landyclarkes) ,part of a bridlepath which runs between Burton-in-Kendal and Clawthorpe Lane, where there is parking for a couple of cars near the bridleway sign. From here you head S across the sometimes wet fields, through woods and into the enclosed lane.
Alternatively you can park in Burton village and head NE up the lane from the other end.
Although access from the N is through the Hutton Roof/Burton Fell Nature Reserves /SSIs the cache site is outside these areas.
GPS readings may be affected by the amount of tree cover and vegetation in the summer.
Approaching from the N you'll find the cache hidden at ground level off the track just before the open area with a seat. It's better to use your eyes and hands to search rather than poking about with a stick
THE CACHE IS NOT IN THE WALL and no large rocks need to be disturbed.
Please push the container well back into it's hiding place repositioning the mossy entrance stone carefully, and please no hints or spoilers in the logs.
