This walk will take you alongside the Tarawera River. You will need a pen to sign log in this magnetic cache.
The carpark co-ordinates are in Porritt Drive. There are other accesses but this one is always available. A half hour walk should get you to this GZ, passing through trees and fields. The path follows Tarawera River which, by the way, is considered dangerous (note for those with children). However, you will pass a little beach where children swim, then rugby fields and golf course. Before crossing the river you may go on and find 'River Walk' first.
After finding this cache the walk may be continued as a loop back on the other side of the river, (may find 'Tarawera River Walk The Other Side'), past the office block on the hill, down the steps (may find 'Stairway to the Mountain'), across Waterhouse Street bridge, and back along the bank to your car.
