TOT - Twelve Pack Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Passport11: So sorry to report that TOT - Twelve Pack has been archived. This little magnetic nano has survived in the deep woods since February 2011. Since hiding this nano, 102 intrepid geochachers have made the find and answered the question: "Why would somebody hide a nano in the woods"?

The area around the cache has been subject to some damage, and I suspect the cache is now covered with dirt and other debris.

It was a great run while it lasted... Goodby little nano...

Geocache Description:

Teague Hill OSP: Hours Sunrise - 30 minutes after Sunset.

Top of Teague Hill, just about a twelve pack in the Brew series. You will be looking for a magnetic nano at the summit of Teague Hill. The Summit is marked approximately 12 feet off the left side of the trail with a small ( 6x6x6 inch) concrete block next to an 18 inch vertical galvanized pipe. The nano is attached to the bottom of the pipe. You will find it covered with a blanket of tiny sticks.

The most direct access to this cache is from the Pinto Way trailhead. From here you can grab "Seeking the Brew" (GC2J6VT). Several more "Brew Series" caches may be found from this approach. For a more challenging hike (terrain = 3.5) try starting at "Near the Deer" (GC2A9RN), continue to "Blue Brew" (GC2MN2B) and then collect the rest of the Brew Series.

Note on April 21, 2011: A tree has fallen about 20 feet from the TOT -Twelve Pack cache and is blocking the trail. To approach the cache, walk towards the root end of the fallen tree. Towards the root end you see where another hiker has kindly built up some "stairs" to get over the tree. The cache has weathered the winter well. The log was still dry with lots of space for more names.

From either approach, access the Teague Hill Summit from the cutoff at: N 37 25.231 W 122 17.791.

No maps exist for the trails in the OSP. Hope you enjoy the hike.
