Contemplation Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Ngaambul: As there's been either no response from the cache owner, no cache to find or log to sign, or it's been a number of months since the last owner note. I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it. Should you replace the cache after 30 days has passed please create a new cache listing so it can be reviewed as a new cache.

Geocache Description:

A plain sight camo cache in a big playing field.

This park can have literally thousands of people one moment and then none the next. You will have to watch out for muggles and bring your own pen. Due to the previous container being muggled before FTF we have relocated the cache a few meters so those initial hunters please note change of coordinates.

Update: 23/June/2011:- Since the first log was destroyed fairly quickly and I personally witnessed MickeyDV incorrectly disassemble cache in front of me damaging the log the following tips are provided to extend longevity of log.

1) If you do find this cache the first thing you will encounter is a tube with an allen bolt at one end. You may need a 5mm allen key or pliers to loosen the opening if it hasn't been found for a while. Strong fingers or some lateral thinking also work.

2) Fully unscrew the device and extract. You will see the scroll held in place by an Aluminium sleeve.

3) Slide the Al sleeve fully off the log scroll (but don't loose it). Sign the log, read the comments etc. Note the log is glued to the central axis (old bike spoke) so don't try to remove log from that.

4) When done, tightly roll the log back onto the central axel (this is why it is glued on).

5) Slide the Aluminium retaining sleeve back on to hold the log in place. If for any reason the sleeve doesn't slide on just tear a small piece of the end of the log off to give more space (this should only happen if the log gets wet because the Oring is removed)

6) Slide back into sleeve and screw back till O ring is seated

7) Replace the cache.

Hopefully those tips will improve enjoyment for all.
