This is a simple multi-cache in a series of geoCaches with connections to town squares in the state of Östergötland. There is one in the series in every county in Östergötland. Each geoCache in the series will give you a micro canister, where you can find a number that can be used to solve the bonus cache in the end.

Valdemarsvik ligger vid Valdemarsviken, som ger orten förbindelse med Östersjön. Väg E22 passerar nära orten, som ligger fem mil söder om Norrköping och omkring 20 mil söder om Stockholm. Strax söder om orten, vid Smålandsbron, går gränsen till Småland, och denna gräns löper rakt genom Valdemarsviken. Sommartid förvandlas orten till en turiststad med många båtåkande besökare, då den närbelägna Gryts skärgård är känd för att vara en av de vackraste och mest orörda i Sverige.
I orten finns ett par torg, ett av dem går under namnet Sparbankstorget. Det är detta torg som är startkoordinaten på denna multi-cache. För att hitta slutgömman, gå 473 meter med bäring 320°.

Valdemarsvik is a locality, situated along side the bay of Valdemarsviken which connects to the Baltic Sea. It is the seat of Valdemarsvik Municipality which is located in Östergötland County, Sweden. It is a popular tourist resort, known for having one of Sweden's most beautiful and pristine environment, with a wide variety of different activities to offer.
Valdemarsvik is surrounded by water. However, after the end of the last glacial period, it lay beneath the sea level. As a result of post-glacial rebound, the water withdrew as the land rose. The resulting appearance of fertile soil drew settlers in the Bronze Age, around 1500 BC. The surrounding archipelago has had a bloody history: remains of shipwrecks at the bottom of the sea and Viking era remnants witness of battles from that time. Industrialization occurred during the 1630's, when Valdemarsvik became a trade port for copper and leather; one of Sweden's largest tanneries was located in Valdemarsvik. The town's name was first mentioned in 1664.
In the town there are two town squares, one which is called Sparbankstorget. It is this square that is the starting point of this multi cache. To find the hiding place of the cache, go 473 meters bearing 320°.
