Geocache Description:

Since the demise of our first ever cache, we thought we'd find another reason to bring people to this lovely park (or in the case, the very edge of it).

Canford Park was opened as a municipal park in 1874 with land bought from Rev H.A. Daniel by Clifton Urban Sanitary Society. The park was absorbed into the city by the corporation in 1904.

There is a bowling green used by the Canford Bowling Club and the park has eight tennis courts (four of which are proposed to be floodlit) and a recently opened café. There are also two football pitches and the summer sees the occasional Gaelic football match.

Of course, there is also a children's playground but we would never have to go there...much.

The cache itself is a traditional 450ml tupperware container and contained a log book, pen, FTF badge, a penguin, a heart and two geocoins (one a tribute to traditional caches).
