Geocache Description:

Soon after I placed my Pilchuck Blackout Challenge, I received a log from an Oregon cacher, Ceredwyn, that said,

“Holy crimony! Maybe I'll come live in the woods for a couple of years and do this challenge. I could be known as the mysterious female Yeti of PTF! Lol”

That immediately got me thinking of the possibilities. Could I line up people to drop off meals every day for her? Would it really take a couple of years of living in the PTF to get all the caches? How would she log her finds, or know when new ones get published so she can keep up? What if they clear-cut the area she stays in? How will she keep warm and dry since fires aren’t allowed? Will her clothes last? Will she have enough batteries to keep her GPS going?

If her boots wear out, will I be the one to photograph her bare footprints in the dirt or snow and make millions off it? What if she’s just an average sized sasquatch? Will she be able to (at the least) find socks to keep her feet warm?

The more I think of it, the less likely it seems that the PTF will have a Big Foot of any size, but I appreciate Ceredwyn for giving me a few moments of amusement with her log. Someday I hope to meet her. Maybe she’ll let me photograph her footprints, even if it isn’t in the PTF?

Meanwhile, here’s another cache to lure all you non-Yetis into the PTF.

I hollered at him, and he took off running. It happened so quick, I didn’t have time to be scared. I don’t know what it was, but it had big feet.
