This cache is an addition to the others located around the Hinkston Run dam in Cambria County. Parking is available near the closed bridge (N 040 22.340 W 078 53.209) on Hinkston Run road. If you walk up the road about 20 yards, there is a ATV trail on your right next to a apple tree (N 040 22. 315 W 078 53.219) enter here and it's a short walk to the cache. Please hide the container well.
This one is an easy (feel good) find and a great one for kids and beginners. The cache is located at the top of the waterfall at the breast of the dam. The cache is no where near edge of the cliff.
If you choose to walk across the closed bridge you will have to cross a small shallow stream to reach the cache. This location was an area we explored during our first geocaching adventure and felt it deserved it's own cache. Also, follow the road around to the bottom of the waterfall for a beautful find.
The cache was muggled a few times so it is no longer an ammo box. The coordinates remain the same, but now it is a bit more sneaky.
