The city of Boraas is deep below. The white smoke comes from a hughe central complex producing heat that is distrubuted in an underground piping system, mainly for hot tapwater and heating.

From here the final steep slope to the very top can be seen as an empty white spot.

The final slope just below the very top of "The Hawk hill" on a very nice and sunny winter day.

SWE: Hökåsen - 287 m över havet. Härifrån kunde man se vidsträckt omkring om inte utsikten skymdes av träd. C:a 14 meter från gömman går en vandringsled som är en härlig utmaning ifrån Tosseryd-sidan. Denna del av leden var det tänkt att det sista skid-SM som planerats i Borås skulle åkas uppför den branta backen från Hybergsväg-sidan (YMER) och sedan nerför en bit mot Tosserydssjöarna. Det finns såväl älg,rådjur och räv här uppe. Fotot visar själva sista backen upp på toppen när det är 410 meter kvar till cachen. Det är den vita fläcken ungefär mitt i bild. Cachen är en filmburk med loggremsa och penna - garanterat snösäker.

7:de Maj: Terrängrating ändrad från 3 till 4.

ENG: Hökåsen - e.g. "The hawk's hill" - 287 meter above sea level. From this top one could see widely around over the Boraas surroundings if it had not been for all the trees on the slopes. Approx. 14 meters from the cache is a popular walking path that has a very long very tiresome path starting at "Tosseryd lakes". From the other side - e.g. the Hybergsvägen / YMER the final way up on the very top has a really steep section. Here you can expect meeting elks, deers and if lucky also fox. The picture showing the steep path from YMER-side and you have here 410 meters left to the cache. The cache itself is a 35 mm film can containing logging strip and pencil - placed on guaranteed snow safe place.
