Geocache Description:

Cache is along Route 28 not too far from Indian Lake and near the hiking trail head for Sawyer Mountain. It is intended to be a reasonably quick find.

For the hiker, Sawyer Mountain offers a moderate and fun hike to the summit in less than an hour. You will climb 640 feet in elevation along a well marked trail from the parking area to the 2,600 foot summit. Just before the wooded summit, there are ledges offering great views of some of the high peaks to the north.

There is a parking pull-off area for access to the trail head and the cache. The cache itself is a camo'd bison tube fairly close to the parking area. It is winter friendly but snow-shoes would help if the Winter snow is deep. Please bring your own pen.
