Geocache Description:

Trail? HA! Marines MAKE the trails.

Depending on where you enter the woods will determine how much bush wacking you'll need to do. Look around for the best way. I knew I wanted this to go into Burns Park, but I kept the old catch phrase in mind... "the few, the proud, the Marines".

COMPANION CACHE - THE ARMY
COMPANION CACHE - THE NAVY

Facts about the United States Marine Corps

DID YOU KNOW...
- They were founded in 1775
- As of today, we have over 200,000 active members and 40,000 reserve members
- Their motto "Semper Fi" is short for "Semper Fidelis" which is Latin for "Always Faithful"
- Their Mascot is an English Bulldog (His name is Chesty Puller. Seriously, look it up.)
- Their colors are Scarlet and Gold

If you're a marine, know that you have my utmost gratitude for your service to our country. Thank you! God bless you, the corps, and the United States of America!

(FYI, this particular cache is being placed in honor of Colin C. He ships off to Marine Boot Camp in San Diego on March 7. Good luck, Colin!)

BTW, there is a free Marine T-shirt for the FTF! (Please, only take it if you'll wear it.)
=====
Congratulations to KNKINCABOT for the FTF! And thanks for sharing the memories.
