Founded in the Ayutthaya period. Originally called Wat Dok Mai Flower Temple.
Lovely temple in an area of Thonburi that sees no tourists and is as it was when I was a child, if you take away the cars and the streetlights.
Deserted and saved in the reign of Rama III, by Than Phuying Chan, the wife of Somdet Chaopraya Borommaha who had the temple renovated.
King Rama IV while a monk appointed a monk from the Thanmayuttika Nikai Sect to govern the temple and conferred the name Buppharam Worawiharn.
