Unfortunate Event # 39 Why Me!!!!!!!

I was at a camp when I was a kid and after doing a nature hike the counselers stopped at a point in the trail.
Their was a dirt/earth slide which took you all the way to the bottom instead of hiking the switchback. It was probably 150 feet long.
I decided to do it. This will be fun!!!
Well what do you know!!! On the way down something caught my foot and sent me into somersaults and flips all the way to the bottom. I don't doubt some of the people who witnessed the U/E thought I was dead. I even bounced off a tree.
I ended up with only 3 stiches in my head and some bumps and bruises. The slide was permanently closed.
People had been doing it for years until I came along.

After all these events...How am I still here! Because I'm FORTUNATE!!!
