Sihai Park (四海公园) is the largest
park in Shekou with total area of 13.5 hectares and admission is
free. It is a fantastic example of how a Shenzhen park can
integrate various complex components seamlessly into a relatively
small space; including secluded groves, an amphitheatre, fishing
and boating areas, magnificent statues, a pool hall, and a
fantastic tea house are all connected by winding paths. Standing at
the center of the park is a huge bull statue with a fireball on its
back. Live musical performance by the water is a regular sight.
Many elderly people visit the park to exercise, play cards or board
games or to simply socialize. [The water lily pond is currently
under renovation.]
Options on getting to the park:
• From Shenzhen Metro Sea World Station Exit C
(深圳地铁海上世界站C出口),
walk towards Sea World Metro Station bus stop
(海上世界地铁站). Take
either bus no. 204 or K204 to Hua Guo Shan
(花果山).
• From Shenzhen Metro Sea World Station Exit D
(深圳地铁海上世界站D出口)
walk towards Sea World bus stop
(海上世界站). Take either bus no. 331
or 332 to Hua Guo Shan (花果山).
• To Sihai Park South
(四海公园南) via Bus no. 232 or
B700
• To Yu Cai Er Zhong (育才二中) via
Bus no. 226, 22, 231, 70, K105 or B737
• To Hua Guo Shan (花果山) via Bus no. 122,
204, 233, 331, 332, 390, 70, 77, 79, 80, B702 or K204
• Shenzhen Metro Wanxia Station
(深圳地铁湾厦站) ...but
it will be a long walk from the station.
