Geocache Description:

This was our very first geocache find back in June 2014, then we adopted it in June 2020!

An interesting circular walk that is suitable for those who are happy to tackle rough tracks, sandy footpaths and a shingle beach. Expect to walk a minimum of just under 2.5 miles incorporating 7 caches of different types.. Please bring your own pen to record your visit.

This is the original cache placed up Grune point which we have adopted and turned into part of the circular walk series, you will find a small clip top box cache here, room for small swaps and TBs.

Lying north of Silloth, Grune Point is an interesting part of the Solway coast with good views across to Scotland, Skinburness Marsh, Moricambe Bay and the Lakeland Fells. Made from sand and shingle , this spit of land is a favourite walking area for locals and holiday makers alike. Observant nature lovers should not be disappointed, especially if you are interested in bird life. There have been some remarkably confident deer on one occasion. Please take note of the signs requiring you to keep your dog on a lead.

Thank you to Solway ANOB for the permission to place the cache and they highlighted two issues to be aware of:

1. Be careful of the high tides in the area

2. Be aware and careful as there are Natter Jack toads in the area (especially around cache #4 and #5)

*****************Congrats to BigLad & Co. on the FTF***************
